Is this your chance to help?

CatNap has a Foster Family Program in place that allows many of the kittens and cats at CatNap to spend some time at home with a Foster Family.  There are many benefits from the Foster Family Program:

For the Animals

	Allows long-term shelter cats a chance to spend time in a home environment
	Raises healthy and well adjusted kittens that are ready to be adopted into a wide variety of households
	Exposes kittens to other pets and / or children
	Creates a loving pet for life
	Provides individual care and attention to a cat or kitten with special needs

For the Foster Families

	Enjoy the love and affection of a cat or kitten
	Short commitment (2 weeks - 3 months)
	Assist in helping stop pet overpopulation
	Involvement in a community effort (most kittens are born to stray cats)
	A true family bonding experience
	Watch as the kittens grow up
	Learn about the extensive needs of kittens
	For a family seeking to adopt a kitten, you can have the "pick of the litter"!

Becoming a Foster Family

Complete a CatNap Foster Family Application.  You can download a form or complete an on-line application.

-   Download an application

	Please note that all foster families must be located within fifteen (15) miles of CatNap.
	Upon acceptance by CatNap, there is a $50.00 fee per year for an Illinois Department of Agriculture license and to cover start-up supplies.
	Attend a Foster Family orientation.  You will hear information about fostering and there is a question and answer session.

Kitten season is nearly upon us and we are reminded that pet overpopulation has widespread concerns and it takes a community to help raise the kittens born to stray cats.

CatNap from the Heart is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) shelter dedicated to promoting respect for all animals through education, shelter, rehabilitation, and adoption. We receive no city, county, state or federal funds.  All donations are tax-deductible.
