Holiday Wrapping at Borders Books in LaGrange
Confirmed dates are:

   Oak Park - Dec 24 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm

CatNap volunteers will be wrapping gifts purchased at Borders!  All donations will benefit the animals at CatNap.  If you would like to volunteer and do some wrapping, please send an e-mail to Gaile.

Murder Mystery Dinner ... Gangster Style!

    "Who shot Jan" was the question of the night until we got to "Who strangled Lauren" and so went the evening of mystery as we tried to solve four murders.  The raffle and silent auction were a great success with many winners!
    Many of the guests were dressed to the theme of the evening and the food was terrific.
The event raised over $6,000 for CatNap!

Cats Bark Too!
Thank you to everyone who participated in the Barker Shop's "The Cat's Meow" benefit, and a special thanks to Kathy Deets, owner of the grooming shop, and to all of her groomers. Together, we raised over $1,200 which will go directly to the care and upkeep of the cats and kittens at CatNap.

Many friends of CatNap brought their dogs and cats in for portraits and nail clippings, and several CatNap cats received complimentary grooming by the staff of the Barker Shop.

Even better, five cats were adopted Saturday, and two more cats were adopted on Monday by visitors who decided they must have the kitty they met at the Barker Shop event. We know the cats will be happy in their new homes.

Our heartfelt thanks to the entire staff at the Barker shop for donating their facility and time for the day!  If you are ever looking for a grooming facility for your cat or dog, please consider the Barker Shop, located just east of the corner of Willow Springs Road and 55th Street on 55th Street in Countryside.  When you are there, mention that you heard about the Barker Shop through CatNap.

Party in the Park
CatNap had a wonderful opportunity to help spread the word about the shelter during a three day event in LaGrange Park's Memorial Park.  It was a nice chance to see people who had already adopted pets from CatNap and to hear their stories.  CatNap would like to thank the many organizations who contributed raffle prizes.  We also had a great time with the Lolly Pop game which was very popular with the children and teens (and also benefited the shelter).

Summer's End Book and Craft Sale
Held in the parking lot at CatNap, this event raised terrific funds for our kittens and cats.  There were hundreds of books to choose from, as well as cd's, tapes, puzzles, crafts and a wonderful selection of plants.  Watch the web site for details on next year's Book Sale!
